More Crafts

These are the outlines for our fishy windsocks we made. I still have to pick the actual windsock up.

These were a nightmare. Look great when their done. In the pack that we bought they also have plain pieces of paper to try it on. They still have all the folding lines but no pattern.
I managed to do the giraffe but the squirrel went in the bin after lots of screaming and shouting.
The rest of the pack can wait till next year.

Sunday, 25 February 2007

We went to a Chinese new year celebration, which unfortunately was a waste of time as the stage was at the bottom of a slope and all the adults crowded round the front which meant that unfortunately my Little's couldn't see anything.

Somewhere up there is my Little's wind socks that they made at one of the workshops. We haven't found them yet but we was assured that they were there somewhere. We will be collecting them soon so I will be able to post a picture then.

Fruit and Vegetable Carving

Fruit and vegetable carving is part of the Thai heritage. Long ago this art was taught and inherited by women only, however, now it has become a skill widely taught in culinary institutes around the world.

There's a link to the side to take you to some great pictures. This is a must to try as it's great fun.
